Getting and staying healthy has become an obsession with me. After going through all the possible “diets” out there, nothing beats plain old counting calories and making smart food choices. I’ve written about it before, and I’ll most likely write about it again – dieting doesn’t work.
However, along with a good, sensible approach to maintaining a healthy weight comes the (for some) much-dreaded how to get rid of flabby abs. So when I came across this website offering three free reports (what’s not to like about free?!) I thought it worth a post.
Your health comes first and foremost. When you’re feeling fit, then it’s much easier to take care of those around you. Go check the free reports out for yourself

charity and hope
Have you heard of Bellingrath Gardens? No? Well neither had I until a few minutes ago when I received an email about it. During times of trial, and we are most certainly living such times, it’s always best to take a step back and see the world from another person’s point of view.
Yes Bessie had money, but that is not what she is remembered for. Maybe you (or I) don’t have a ton of cash on hand to use, but we have something just as precious… ourselves to share.
Here’s a bit about Mrs. Bellingrath, with a link to the rest of her story and numerous gorgeous and relaxing pictures included.
As the economic depression [of the 1930's] worsened, friends quietly kept Mrs. Bellingrath aware of families in need. She would appear, checkbook in hand, begging for an azalea, camellia or whatever bloom she saw in the family yard. She would convince the stunned homeowner that Bellingrath Gardens had been unable to locate one and then offer hundreds of dollars in an era when $25 a week was a comfortable income. She told a flowershop owner that her crocheted afghans were the most handsome she’d seen and offered her $100 each for a dozen, knowing the money would put the woman’s niece in college, which it did. After her sudden death in 1943, …. click here to see, experience and read the rest

teen weight loss
A good friend of mine told me her life growing up had been pure hell. Her father’s constant commenting about her weight (even when she wasn’t overweight) brought her self-esteem to an all-time low.
It wasn’t until years later, away from that horrible “influence” that she learned to love herself for who she is.
Conversely, let’s face it, our nation (the U.S.) in particular is filled with kids just way too large for their age and height. The eating habits of families “on the go” or in tight, budget crunching situations often teeter off into what’s fast and cheap versus what’s healthy.
We’ve put together a section on teen weight loss that we hope will provide guidance, resources, and helpful how-to’s for any parent or teen worried or obsessing about their weight.
We hope you find this section useful!

building self esteem
There is a period in everyone’s life where the skills needed to get along with others seems to waiver. The teen years are particularly hard as young people struggle to discover “who they are.”
It’s unfortunate, but often this lack of self confidence carries itself over into adulthood. Without a sense of identity, a real understanding of who you are, many carry a burden that is unnecessary. What is needed is a good old fashion “shot in the arm.” That boost to one’s self esteem.
Building self esteem is a process. It does not happen overnight, there is no magic pill or secret. I believe the underlying core, the foundation so to speak, to building up one’s self esteem is very simple. You must like yourself, yes even love yourself, as you are before you can expect others to see you for who you truly are.
Every life has immense value! True, not every person on the face of the planet is going to love you or even like you. And that’s perfectly okay!
If YOU like and love yourself and express confidence in and within yourself, you are able to withstand even the hardest of times.
We’ve gather together a collection of self esteem building articles for those willing to start on a wonderful journey in life… that of holding oneself in highest regard.
Enjoy!

mood swings
Mood swings effect everyone and are natural. However, mood swings that disrupt daily lives are an indication of an underlying problem – be it physical or emotional – that must be investigated. If you are the victim of “violent” mood swings, it’s time to take a serious look.
First, you must acknowledge there is a problem. This is the first step in curing wild mood swings especially with men. Since mood swings and depressions are more common with women, most of all during menstruation, pregnancy, and menopause, they don’t have as hard a time admitting to having such problems.
Alternative treatments are some of the more popular techniques used to manage mood swings. Although many patients are able to handle their condition through medications and traditional therapy, others try to seek out other means to deal with their mood swings.
Before approaching your physician, you can review the possible causes of your mood swings by clicking here.
